“What are you thinking?”
fionnskate_noshadowI hear this question a lot these days. From the mundane decisions we all make daily about what our kids can do, to the more pressing matters of how much coffee will be needed to make it through the 10,000 things separating us from the life we want to lead.

The life we want to lead.

That’s a great thought, isn’t it? What is it? More time for the things that bring us joy? More time with the kids?

On a far more practical level, as we (my wife and I – and perhaps others) embark on this parenting blog of literally no renown why would we possibly post it as a blogger site? What are we thinking?

Well, simply put, it’s free, it’s easy, and although I am a web designer I don’t want to spend any time messing with that while chronicling a life well lived. Those are the main reasons. This is not a vanity project for my web design, it’s about getting out, experiencing life firstly, thinking about it, and then documenting what is important.

Why do a parenting site when there are so many out there? Good question, but I don’t think of it as a parenting site, but more as a life site. It gets back to the life we want to lead. It’s about accountability. Being what we preach.

What should I expect?

Well, you probably won’t see our kids names, or ours (although that is less important to us). There won’t be a mailing list. You will get thoughts on raising cool kids, geeking out, traveling with kids, adventuring, and possibly even some recommendations on books, gear, places to visit, and a great deal of whatnot. These thoughts will come as text, audio and video, so check back often, or subscribe. But we’re not trying to make money here, we’re trying to make life. So come, read, comment and enjoy.

Oh, and if you have room to park a camper you might see us sometime.
