Voyage of Discovery: The Plan

So, we’re doing this little trip. (aka the Sorting Hat Voyage)

So here’s the list of places we plan to hit:

• Metropolis, IL
• St. Louis
• Mark Twain’s childhood home
• Indian Cave, NE
• Ashfall Dinosaur dig
• Mt. Rushmore
• Crazy Horse
• Yellowstone
• Missoula
• Jackson Hole
• Pretty much all of Colorado
• Arches
• Moab
• Vegas
• Sequoia
• Grand Canyon
• Sante Fe, NM
• The Ozarks
• and a few dozen other places

We’re going on this journey to both see the country, but also to get to know our kids better through adventuring with them. They are very excited, but I am not kidding myself, it’s a long drive, a lot of time in the car, and the possibility of things going wrong is not small. But that’s all part of the adventure, I suppose. So we will depart in a week or so and begin this massive journey.
